Cong: An authentic Vietnamese street food journey

Aromas of fresh herbs, crisp textures, and flavors that strike a balance between sweet, sour, and spicy: Vietnamese cuisine is renowned for its distinctive flavors and has rightfully become a firm favorite among foodies. A new spot that’s already become the talk of the town offers precisely this authentic ethnic experience. Its name is Cong at The Mall Athens.

An Introduction to Vietnamese Cuisine

On the 3rd floor of The Mall Athens, Cong transports every guest to the bustling streets of Vietnam with carefully selected dishes made with fresh ingredients and attention to detail. Handmade phở with a rich, aromatic broth, hand-rolled fresh rolls, and the legendary Bahn mi make up a menu that satisfies even the most discerning lovers of ethnic cuisine. As for the restaurant’s star dish, it’s the Rice Bowl, where every bite is a true feast: crispy, fresh, spicy, sweet, and savory all at once.

Flavors That Take You on a Journey

Among the standout options, the shrimp Bao Bans offer a light yet intensely flavorful experience, with the signature fluffy steamed bun perfectly “enveloping” the filling of crispy shrimp. On the other hand, the chicken noodles are the go-to comfort food for those looking for a rich, filling, and unique dish. An extra bonus is the sweet-and-sour sauce, which leaves the perfect aftertaste. For something in between, everyone’s favorite vegetable spring rolls are just the thing. Served with nuoc cham sauce, they add a crispy, light, and slightly spicy note, rounding out the meal in the most delicious way.

Whether it’s a break from shopping or a get-together with friends, Cong at The Mall Athens is the most unique destination for culinary journeys that take you all the way to… Vietnam.
