Ancho: Where Mexican Street vibes meet fiesta atmosphere

From tacos to burritos and from nachos to guacamole, Mexican food is always a good reason to take a tasty break from shopping. Especially when we've found a place that combines Mexican street vibes with the Californian coolness of burrito bars, creating the ideal spot for any fan of ethnic cuisine. That's why we didn't miss the opportunity to visit (again) Ancho, at The Mall Athens. 

Do It Yourself experience

So, as we approached the 3rd floor of the shopping center, we already knew that a unique fiesta atmosphere and a menu straight out of a Mexican street food spot awaited us. So we wasted no time and headed straight to Ancho. There, authentic Mexican cuisine is combined with everyone's personal preferences through a Do-It-Yourself experience, which allows us to create unexpected combinations.

Essentially, we choose a base, a filling, and, if we want, we accompany our choice with our favorite drink or a dessert. All the ingredients are fresh and prepared in the kitchen daily, making this our most delicious fast casual spot.

Original Mexican choices

This time, the truth is that it took us quite a while to decide on the dishes that would fill our table, as there were so many options. However, we decided to order two main dishes and a side dish to share. So, one of us chose to try the Burrito Bowl with chicken, peppers, and guacamole, an original Mexican dish, while the other chose the Crispy Tacos with chili con carne, adding a spicier note to our table. In the middle, a delicious Nacho Bowl for us original Mexican food lovers and, of course, our favorite Mexican soft drinks, Jarritos, which were enough to complete our dining experience.
