Is there really a place you can go every moment of the day when you need to take a break, when you need to recharge your batteries, or even when you need to catch up with business? If the answer is "no", then all you have to do is take a stroll to Palmie Bistro at The Mall Athens and... you've found it!
We did just that in March this year, to discover how a café-restaurant can give a different meaning to the term 'all day'. The "steps" we took were specific. We entered the interior of Palmie Bistro, with its distinctive design and beautiful atmosphere, sat down in its comfortable chairs and chose dishes from the catalogue of flavours, which, thanks to their quality, enhanced the tasty result.
We started with the Caesar salad, because as people who love a healthy lifestyle, the crunchy green lettuce, iceberg lettuce, radicchio, roast chicken, cherry tomatoes and garlic croutons with Caesar dressing were a must. Then, in addition to the glass of dry red and white wine from the Migas estate that we chose to accompany our dishes, the menu included one of those starters that we never fail to try, wherever we are. This was the bourekakia with feta cheese and honey, wrapped in rustic leaves and sesame seeds, which prepared us for the dishes to follow.
For the main courses, we chose classic flavours that, with a few twists, could satisfy even the most demanding palates. On the one hand we had the classic Bolognaise recipe with spaghetti al dente, minced meat sauce and soft spices, and on the other hand the most characteristic burger on the menu, the Virginia Burger with two juicy burgers made of 100% ground beef, melted cheese and caramelised onions, served on warm pita bread and accompanied by French fries, tomato, parsley and mayonnaise-mustard dressing.
